No better day than a hot day,

Underneath the palm trees.

This clementine is sweeter than august warmth

Thong sandals flicking the pavement let’s me know my heart is unhinged

The New England, no one ever saw

The Italian ice

In this moment time is a block of cemented feet

Oh the vaporized fauna

Where aroma rises and reminds me of home

The kids bogged only by missed shots on a swelling court

A sadness overturned by free Slurpie day

The only holiday that really matters
