I do not hear a sound

Not even just a Peep

It is barely one morning

It feels like the world is sleep

In the sound of silence

My body feels at peace

No doubts fill my head

No people scream at me

To escape the madness of my life

To the place with sounds of silence is where I seek

The sounds of silence

Allows me to hear my heart so loud

In sounds of silence

I find my path to healing now

In sounds of silence

I feel so internally strong

In sounds of silence I am able to keep pushing on

Through the grief, through the violence

I always re-center myself

In sounds of silence

So thankful for quiet moments that I share from within

In sounds of silence

My happiness is finally able to begin
