A ticket to heaven

On this bus I ride

On my way to you

Made sure I packed your favorite foods

So we could reminisce

My mind drifting to the last memory of you

Your presence so infectious

Your heart so true

On this bus I ride

For a chance to see your face

Oh I wish I was visiting any other place

But I won’t complain every moment counts

I know that you are safe and sound

Because you’re in God‘s house

On this bus ride on my way to you

Your favorite songs play in my head

Thinking about how you would console me

When it was hard for me to go to bed

I hope that you are proud

When you think of me

A special place in my heart is where you’ll always be

When life gets me down

And my will to move on is low

I close my eyes and think of you

You make me feel like there is no limit to what I can do

As we pull in to the driveway

I know today is going to be a great day

As I run into your arms for a tight hug

I feel the warm embrace of a mothers love

I am thankful for your impact on my life

You took away so much worry and strife

Until the day we meet again

I’ll cherish every moment of this visit

I cannot wait to accomplish all my goals
