In this cocaine world
With all these cocaine things
All these little white cocaine lies
Causing a black man to scream for god just like he used to scream for his mama
There’s no soothing hug at the end of this conflict
Conjuring up a plan to have a destination wedding with disaster and all its white trashiness
Rolling up that dollar bill
Is like rolling out the red carpet for your demons
In their Sunday best outfits to walk on
Morning turned in to night
Which turned in to day
You want to stop this crippling addiction
Sadly you are a King without a Crown and unfortunately
Your body is not A red white yellow and blue symbol on a fast food place
Dopamine dependency does not want you to have it Your way
As you hold that pipe in your mouth
Life is but far from a dream
Traveling down the stream
Better yet traveling up shit’s Creek
You cannot speak to family members
When the insect sensations spread through your skin like wildfire
And saying you have an addiction
Is like telling them you have AIDS
No one wants to touch you
Let alone trust you
No dollar or a penny for their thoughts could ever change their mind now
Neurons connected to each other like subway systems
Now your brain screaming “it’s showtime”
You tried everything to live under the big marquee
You’ve decided like Biz Markie
That little Ms cocaine has got what you need
Your body is too addicted to that toxic love
Who opened your eyes to this cocaine world?
Whether it was your cousin, Uncle, or Big bro
Black people are hardheaded
So what they did not know they did not know
And what they did not know
Is that instead of teaching you how to tie a necktie
They slowly fastened the noose around your neck tide to several generations of oppression
But if you ask them they were just trying to help you find something to ease the pain of being black in America
