Entitled " What Is A Body? "

We all have bodies, bodies that move

Bodies that feel touch and grieve

But what is a body?

Why does it get hot and cold

Why does it’s sadness turn to fat

It’s happiness turn to muscle and it’s

Longing for love turn to stretch marks

We all have bodies, Bodies that grow old faded from their youth

Bodies that whisper to us consciously saying “we’ve seen better days”

But what is a body

Why does the blood that runs through it feel foreign in front of people we are related to but feel the kinship of strangers we just met longing to find your other half

We all have bodies, with self programmed coordinates to a destination we have no idea of

What is the push and pull of life what is the force that keeps us going with every breath in our bodies we try to keep our story from ending Anticipating that” maybe the next chapter won’t be so bad”

We all have bodies, bodies that have mileage on them just like cars bodies with broken parts that may not ever get fixed bodies that can be modified with the cut of a knife but the trauma of the scars still remain

We all have bodies, some may get better, some may become repurposed but unfortunately somebody’s have just reached their end

When I got the call On December 16, 2021

Telling me that this was the end of the journey for your body , all the love of my heart left my aching frame and hopefully found its way to you in heaven

My body is tired my body is cold my body aches forever my heart is unsettling and my spirit sometimes diminished however my body carries on in your remembrance

I would’ve never thought a stomach aneurysm would have caused your body to say goodbye to us

But that serves as my reminder “ Tyrese I know it is hard but please please please take care of your body”

This is not goodbye, it’s only the beginning of two separate stories of our own journey I will continue to live in memory of you and hopefully one day our bodies can rest together and our energy will have each other
